Brawl Stars Content creator boost

Brawl Stars Content creator

Content Creator Boost is a new feature that has been added into the game. When you spend Gems inside the game you can enter a special code to support content creators, such as your favourite Brawl Stars Youtube channel. The code is individual for every content creator and once you have entered it all Gems you spend from now on will help supporting the creator.

How do I get a Content creator code?
As of October 2019 Supercell has only given a code to a selected amount of content creators and at this moment there is no way to apply for a code yourself. Supercell officials have said that a roll out of the creator codes for everyone will happen ”a bit later”. No word of how long it will take before anyone can apply for a personal code though.

New Brawler: Carl

Brawl stars carlA new game update has been released with game balances and plenty of new stuff!

First off a new Brawler has been revealed: Carl. He is a little robot that throws a pickaxe that returns like a boomerang. His super is called Tailspin where he increases his speed and starts to whirl his axe in a 360 degree radius damaging everyone around him. Carl is a Super Rare Brawler and is coming ”later in March” according to the officials.

Another new thing in the update is a new game mode called Siege, a 3v3 game where each team has a home base that can defend itself with a cannon, and the goal is to destroy the enemy base.

Brawl Stars vs Clash Royale

I think most people that play Brawl Stars also have heard of Clash Royale, another free-to-play mobile game by publisher Supercell. I have played Clash Royale for years and think it’s a superb mobile game that you never get tired of.

I was curious and checked with Google Trends which of the two games is more popular right now. Turns out Brawl Stars now has surpassed Clash Royale in popularity in searches.

I took some screenshots from Google Trends with comparisons of Brawl Stars and Clash Royale. The first screenshot is a search comparison of the last 12 months. Looks like Clash Royale is rapidly losing in popularity while Brawl Stars is about the same since the official launch in December 2018.

The next comparison is which of the games is most searched in each country the last 30 days. Most searches for Brawl Stars compared to country population are from Israel, Bulgaria and South Korea.

How to be the Star Player

star player brawl

When playing Brawl Stars have you noticed that the Star Player award doesn’t always go to the one you think is the most deserving player, the one with the most kills? The game picks the Star Player based on a secret algorithm. It’snot only the damage you did, but how much you helped your team in a brawl. And of course the main object of the played Event.

In Bounty events the kill to death ratio is the most inportant. Getting the most stars in the end of the match increases your chance of being the Star Player, so if time is running out and you have a lot of stars try running away from the opponents rather towards them!

In Gem Grab try finding a combination of grabbing as many gems as possible and also get as many kills as possible. Sounds easy, right? Brawlers with strong normal attacks who can steal kills are useful. Another way to be the Star Player in Gem Grab is to pick either Pam or Poco and heal your teammates as much as you can while still grabbing some Gems.

In Heist, try to deal as much damage as you can to the Safe. Brawlers who can break walls and damage the safe with their Supers, such as Colt and Bull, are good in Heist.
In Brawl Ball try to score the most goals. Heavy Brawlers like El Primo are to be considered here.

Brawl Stars system requirements

Brawl Stars Galaxy.jpg
Brawl Stars on Samsung Galaxy S2? Not so much.

Brawl Stars only works on Android phones with Android version 4.3 (Jelly bean) or newer. Android 4.3 was released in july 2013, so if your phone model is older than 2013 you might have a problem running Brawl Stars on it.

The requirements for iOS is iOS 9.0 or later. iOS 9.0 was released in September 2015 so if you Apple product is much older than that Brawl Stars will probably not run on it.

One might not think about it because most people have newer phones today, but it might affect someone out there.

Brawlers timeline

brawlers

There are currently 22 Brawlers in Brawl Stars. But when Brawl Stars soft launched in June 2017 there were only 15 original Brawlers available. They were:

brawl brawlers timeline

Common: Shelly, Nita, Colt, El Primo, Jessie, Dynamike, Brock
Rare: Poco, Barley, Ricochet, Bull
Epic: Bo, Mortis
Legendary: Spike, Crow

After the first release it didn’t take long for the next game update and in June, just a month later, Piper was released.

In September 2017 it was time again for two new Brawlers to see the world, Pam and Tara.

The December update added Darryl to the game.

Then it took a couple of months until the next Brawlers joined the fun. In May 2018 Penny and Frank were added to the game.

After that it was the longest break yet for any new Brawlers to join the game but in December 2018 Leon was released and instantly became many player’s favourite Brawler.

That’s the timeline of all 22 Brawlers so far. We don’t know when there will be more Brawlers in the game but the statistics says anywhere between January and August 2019. The release of new Brawlers has so far been in pair or single, and since the latest release was a single Brawler, then maybe it’s time for a pair of Brawlers to join next time?
